Turkestan Region Leads Kazakhstan in New Restaurant and Café Openings in 2025
According to the Bureau of National Statistics, 73 restaurants with a total seating capacity of 20,048 were put into operation across the country in 2025, Total.kz reports.
The actual cost of the commissioned restaurant facilities amounted to KZT 74.2 billion. The highest number of restaurant openings was recorded in the Turkestan Region (28 facilities) and the Kyzylorda Region (8 facilities).
In addition, 92 cafés with a total seating capacity of 6,696 were commissioned during the reporting period, with a combined value of KZT 14.2 billion. The Turkestan and Kyzylorda regions also led in café openings, with 21 and 14 facilities, respectively.
Furthermore, over the 12 months of 2025, 14 canteens with 1,417 seats and three fast-food outlets with a total seating capacity of 26 were commissioned nationwide.
