Ranking of Kazakhstan’s Largest Taxpayers in the Trade Sector Compiled

The trade sector remains one of the key segments of Kazakhstan’s economy and plays a significant role in generating state budget revenues. According to analysts’ data, the sector’s share in GDP has increased in recent years, reflecting the expansion of the domestic consumer market and the growth of corporate turnover. The ranking of the largest taxpayers in the trade industry was reported by Finprom.kz. 

Following the results of 2025, marketplace Kaspi.kz became the largest taxpayer in the sector, paying KZT 138.4 billion in taxes. Over the past three years, the company’s tax payments have more than doubled, driven by the performance of its online retail services and e-commerce platforms.

Second place was taken by Toyota Motor Kazakhstan, whose tax contributions reached KZT 125.3 billion. The company is engaged in wholesale distribution of vehicles, genuine spare parts and accessories, as well as after-sales service in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

The top three was completed by Coca-Cola Almaty Bottlers JV, which paid KZT 61.6 billion in taxes. The company manufactures and distributes a wide range of non-alcoholic beverages under a franchise model.

In total, the 20 largest companies in the trade sector paid more than KZT 690 billion in taxes in 2025. The ranking highlights the scale of retail and wholesale turnover, the rapid growth of e-commerce and the strengthening role of trade as a major contributor to the national budget.

Experts note that further digitalisation of retail, expansion of marketplaces and development of logistics infrastructure are expected to sustain the sector’s strong economic impact in the coming years.
