Danone Expands Its Logistics Infrastructure in Almaty
French multinational corporation Danone has leased 2,500 sq. m of industrial and warehouse space in the Ili district of Almaty region (Baiserke). The company is one of the global leaders in the production of dairy products, bottled water, infant nutrition, and medical food.
The transaction was advised by the international consulting company IBC Global. According to the brokers, the suitable facility was identified within a week. The tenant was offered a newly built Class A warehouse fully meeting the company’s requirements, equipped with modern engineering infrastructure and technical systems.
The warehouse is located in an industrial zone with dedicated areas for truck maneuvering and parking facilities. The site is considered strategically important for regional logistics: it is situated just a few kilometers from BAKAD (the Big Almaty Ring Road) and on the first line of the Kuldzhinsky highway. The Western Europe–Western China international motorway is also actively developing nearby.
The new warehouse is located close to Danone’s plant, which currently produces more than 18,000 tons of dairy products annually. In 2025, the company announced plans to expand production capacity to 40,000 tons per year. Increasing output required additional warehouse space to store auxiliary materials and ensure uninterrupted operations.
“A long-term contract has been signed, and the new warehouse will be used as an additional hub for storing auxiliary materials. This will allow the retailer to operate without disruptions and will contribute to the company’s further growth. This deal is typical for the market and reflects the strong demand for high-quality Class A warehouse space in key logistics hubs of Almaty. It is also important to note that professional support during the site selection significantly reduced the search timeframe, ensured that the tenant’s specific requirements were fully taken into account, and protected the client’s interests at every stage of the transaction,” said Stanislav Akhmedzyanov, Managing Partner at IBC Global.
