Kazakhstan's Warehouse Market: Key Industry Trends to Be Discussed at the CAWS 2026 Summit

On October 15, 2026, Almaty will host CAWS 2026, the international summit dedicated to the development of warehouse and logistics real estate in Central Asia. TSPM. is the event's permanent General Media Partner.

Over the past two years, Kazakhstan's warehouse real estate market has undergone significant changes. In 2025, the country recorded a historic high in new warehouse supply, with approximately 630,000 sq. m of new space commissioned. As a result, the total stock of modern warehouse facilities increased by 26% year-on-year, reaching 2.4 million sq. m.

Against the backdrop of growing supply, rental rates have stabilized, vacancy has increased, and tenants now have greater opportunities to choose facilities and negotiate commercial terms. At the same time, the market is facing new challenges, including rising operating costs, increasing tax burdens, a shortage of qualified personnel, and the need to develop new warehouse formats.

These and other issues will be at the core of the CAWS 2026 agenda. During the summit, participants will discuss:

demand prospects for various warehouse formats;
the impact of rising tax burdens and operating costs on development projects;
pricing strategies amid increasing vacancy rates;
labor shortages in the logistics sector;
the development of light industrial facilities, multi-temperature warehouses, pharmaceutical warehouses, and agricultural storage facilities.

The summit will also feature the first-ever presentation of the Kazakhstan Warehouse Market Sentiment Index as well as the annual ranking of the country's leading warehouse developers.

In addition, the program will cover key topics related to retail development, commercial real estate, logistics infrastructure, project financing, and innovative technologies for warehouse facilities.

Partners of individual conference sessions include Business Park AQJOL, Standart Design Bureau, and Alkanov Group. A special gastronomic program prepared by one of the event partners will also be available for participants.

The summit will take place at The Ritz-Carlton Almaty.

Participation is free of charge for representatives of government authorities, media organizations, and retail companies upon prior registration. For all other delegates, a special participation fee of USD 250 is available until August 1, 2026. Special rates are also offered for corporate groups.

The full program and registration are available on the official event website.
