Kyrgyzstan Purchases Nine Hectares of Land in Xi’an for a Cargo Center
Kyrgyzstan has acquired nine hectares of land in the Chinese city of Xi’an to build a cargo center. The National Investment Agency reported the development, according to Economist.kg.
The new logistics facility is planned to facilitate cargo transportation between China and Kyrgyzstan.
According to the preliminary plan, cargo will be transported by rail from Xi’an to Kashgar, and then by road from Kashgar to Osh. The project is expected to involve 30 cargo trucks.
The Kyrgyz side is currently negotiating with the authorities of Xi’an on the implementation of the project.
The establishment of the cargo center is expected to streamline logistics and provide a more convenient route for delivering goods from China to Kyrgyzstan.
