Wildberries will build a logistics hub in Astana for 47.7 billion tenge
Construction of a major Wildberries logistics hub in Astana with an area of 160,000 sq. m is ongoing. The project is scheduled for completion in Q1 2027, with total investments amounting to 47.7 billion tenge.
According to the government, the launch of the Wildberries logistics hub will create 6,000 jobs. The project is being implemented amid the development of transport and warehousing infrastructure in the capital and the growing role of Astana as one of Kazakhstan’s key business centers.
The progress of the project was reported to the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Olzhas Bektenov, during his working visit to Astana. The head of government inspected the implementation of presidential directives on industrial development, infrastructure strengthening, and deeper processing in the agro-industrial sector.
During the visit, Astana Mayor Zhenis Kassymbek reported that last year the city’s gross regional product reached 18.9 trillion tenge. Over four months, 587 billion tenge of investment was attracted into fixed capital, with nearly 80% coming from the private sector.
The city currently has 246,000 small and medium-sized enterprises employing around 560,000 people. The contribution of SMEs to Astana’s economy has reached a record 66%.
In 2026, the capital plans to launch 26 industrial projects. So far, 8 projects worth 32 billion tenge have already been commissioned, creating around 500 jobs. By the end of the year, another 18 projects worth 36 billion tenge are expected to be launched, creating about 1,000 additional jobs.
Prime Minister Bektenov also visited the logistics center of JSC “Wholesale and Retail Trade Enterprise” Technodom. The complex, with an area of over 22,000 sq. m, is designed for 11,000 pallet spaces. It includes temperature-controlled storage areas of 3,500 sq. m.
The logistics center operates 24/7 and provides a full range of services—from receiving and storing goods to order assembly and shipment. The facility is equipped with automated warehouse management systems and performance monitoring tools. Its current occupancy rate is 100%.
The center is used by companies such as Wildberries, Ascona, Gold Service Logistic, and others. More than 200 jobs have been created at the site.
In addition, the Prime Minister was presented with a logistics park project covering 223.1 hectares. The volume of private investment in it is expected to exceed $300 million. Potential participants include YXE Trading Service Group, S Sistem Lojistik Hizmetler, Kazpost, and Rhino Logistic.
Olzhas Bektenov emphasized that the development of logistics infrastructure is an important condition for improving economic competitiveness and further increasing Kazakhstan’s transit potential.
Given the President’s declared Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence, the Prime Minister stressed that special attention should be paid to the introduction of digital solutions and process automation.
