Chinatown in Tashkent: what we know about ETÉRA, the new shopping mall project?

ETÉRA Shopping Mall under construction in Tashkent to feature The China Town food hall spanning 5,000 Sq. M

According to developer MANAR Development, the mall will house around 100 stores and six restaurants across four floors.

ETÉRA, a shopping and entertainment center in Tashkent, is scheduled to open in late 2027. The complex will have a total area of 50,000 sq. m, including 20,500 sq. m of retail space. The project is being developed by MANAR Development, while commercial leasing and tenant mix management are being handled by Diana Zaznobina’s consulting project, “Magazin Magazinov.”

The four floors are planned to accommodate around 100 stores, six restaurants, and a family entertainment center. A separate section will be dedicated to The China Town, a 5,000-sq.-m gastronomic food hall. It will feature 17 Pan-Asian food outlets, eight establishments serving traditional cuisine, and a tea restaurant on the mezzanine level. The developer compares the concept to a similar space already operating at Dubai Mall.

According to the developer’s estimates, more than 40,000 people live within walking distance of the future mall, with another 40,000 visiting the area daily.

ETÉRA was also named Tashkent’s most anticipated shopping mall in a poll conducted by the “Public Opinion in Uzbekistan” channel. More than 74,000 people participated in the vote, with nearly two-thirds choosing ETÉRA. The poll was conducted online on the channel’s platform and should not be considered a representative survey.
